"hold your wee for a Wii"

A woman in California died from water-poisoning after entering a contest for a Nintendo Wii.

"A Californian woman died of water poisoning after taking part in a bizarre drinking contest to win a computer games console, according to US authorities.

Jennifer Strange, 28, was found dead in her home in Rancho Cordova, California, on Friday after drinking as much water as she could without going to the toilet

A preliminary investigation by the local coroner determined that her death was "consistent with a water intoxication death". It is not yet known how much water she drank."

Well, it's finally been announced - Apple Computer, Inc. ...er..well, now it's Apple Inc. will begin shipping their latest and greatest, the iPhone in 2007.

Some of the more prominent features of the new phone are:

Widescreen iPhone - 3.5-inch widescreen

Visual Voicemail - view all your voicemails in a list format - touch the screen to listen to it
One touch calling - simply touch the name of the person you want to call and it dials them for you
Touch Screen / Scrolling Navigation - no external buttons or keypads; scroll through lists using your finger
Portrait or Landscape Viewing - auto adjusts to landscape view when you rotate the iPhone
Google Maps - with satellite views
Store and view images, music, full length movies, podcasts, tv shows.
SMS text messaging
Full scale Safari web browser
Widgets - stocks, weather, etc.
Multi-touch - zoom in and zoom out using 'the pinch'
Runs on OS X
Multicensors throughout iPhone detect ambient light, proximity and iPhone position for landscape veiwing
Quad-band GSM, Cingular's EDGE network, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR

Bill comments on the iPhone:

As a certified Apple User since 1990 and a stock holder since 2000 this one has a few holes. First it uses Cingular which getting any web or email on sucks big time. Verizion and Sprint have much faster data rates almost times 4. So a better wireless data choice would be cool.

2) It should of been able to use IP telephony when a wireless airport etc is found. Would have been much tighter integration with exsisting products would of been nice.

I will have one as an Apple dealer no doubt but I was a bit dissapointed on the features .
